The closest sandy beach is Banana (Ionian), it is one of the longest beaches on the island, with shallow and clear blue waters. There are many little bars along the length of the beach as well as umbrellas and sunbeds for hire.
Other beaches in Vassilikos
Gerakas Beach is a bay of endless sand, possibly the most beautiful beach of Vassilikos and certainly one of the most beautiful on Zakynthos. The Caretta-caretta loggerhead turtles lay their eggs here.
Gerakas belongs to the National Marine Park of Zakynthos, so the beach is especially protected. Here there are no watersports or beach bars. However there are many sunbeds and umbrellas for hire.
St Nicholas Beach has taken its name from the picturesque little church of St Nicholas that is on a small hill at the edge of the shore.
It is the islands’ most cosmopolitan beach.
It has beach bars playing loud music, plentiful sunbeds and umbrellas, and the chance to try a range of water sports.
Daphne Beach is a true paradise, with a vast sandy beach and amazing views of the bay of Lagana. Opposite the beach is the islet of Pelouzo, here the Caretta-caretta loggerhead turtles lay their eggs. Daphne beach belongs to the National Marine Park of Zakynthos, and there are no watersports here.
The access road to Daphne Beach is off the main Vassilikos road, and is considered a difficult descent. One must cover 3km of dirt track in order to reach the beach. Despite this difficulty, there are many visitors daily as the beauty of Daphne is unique. Sunbeds and umbrellas

Sekania is one of the most important nesting beaches of the Caretta-caretta loggerhead turtles, this is why it is protected by the National Marine Park and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), to which it belongs.
Porto Zorro us a small beach with clear waters and lush green surroundings that almost touch the waters’ edge.
The two large rocks that are at the edge of the shore give an impressive scene.
